Midway Museum

For Educators

The Midway Museum offers docent-guided tours for all grade levels, from first grade to college. Students will be transported back in time during their visit to our colonial house museum, which is full of artifacts and history about Liberty County and the state of Georgia. For groups larger than six people, we require at least two weeks in advance notice to ensure that we have enough volunteers to accommodate your group.

Booking a school group tour is a breeze. Visit our website’s Group Tours section and complete the tour form. The cost of tours is listed there for your convenience. If you have any queries about our maximum group size, deposits, or tour duration, please don’t hesitate to email us at midwaymuseum@yahoo.com.

The Midway Museum’s education program is designed to engage students with multiple interactive activities during their visit. We recommend preparing your class in advance to ensure a productive and enjoyable tour. This can be done by reviewing museum subjects, such as colonial Georgian history. A baseline knowledge will significantly enhance your class’s experience. During your visit, the Midway Museum looks forward to reinforcing classroom ideas and expertise.

Please view the Pre-Visit packet to review the rules with your class before your visit.
