Midway Patriots and Early Settlers

Following are over two hundred “Midway Patriots” – those who were members of the Midway Society or Congregational Church or whose life events are recorded in Rev. James Stacy’s Published Church Records and performed Patriotic or Military Service during the American Revolution. Also included are names of thirty plus “Early Settlers” in the Midway District – those who likely participated in discussions favoring Independence, died before the Revolutionary War began and their sons or family served in the American Revolution, thus considered Patriots.

This list is preliminary, and is part of the Midway Patriots Project. It is based on extensive research by William (Bill) Ramsaur, who unfortunately passed away on February 19, 2022.
