Tenting Tonight: The Civil War (by James Robertson)
A heavily illustrated Time-Life book about daily life for both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Professor Robinson of Virginia Tech has contributed this meticulously researched volume that focuses on recruitment, sanitation, medical care (or lack thereof), treatment of prisoners of war, and the role of religion.
